Trail Status
NOTICE
The Charming Creek Walkway is closed until further notice due to a rock wall failure. Further rockfalls may occur. Do not go past any barriers in place on the track. This does not affect those just riding The Old Ghost Road itself, only those wishing to ride the Charming Creek Walkway on its own or as part of the extended loop back through the Denniston Plateau and the Mackley Road.
The trail status below is shown in ‘sections’ between the four Category 1 (bookable) huts and Goat Creek hut (unbookable basic backcountry hut), and is based on currently available information resulting from trail inspections and user feedback. Conditions can and do change without notice. Please prepare accordingly. Help complement our trail inspections and maintain current trail information by reporting observations via our contact page. Trail status last updated 7th January 2021.
